After my kids left home to go to university I wanted to get my old life back. On the Internet I had come across an advert for the Gold Standard Dating Service. It was for the over forties that had wanted to find love. The dating service had cost just ten pounds to belong to.
I had spent ages creating my profile. I had down loaded three of my best photos. It hadn't been very long before guys had starting sending me messages. I heard from Billy, Luke, Matthew and Thomas. Billy was fifty years old and he worked as a banker. Luke was fifty two years old and he worked as an accountant. Matthew was fifty five and he worked as an engineer. Thomas was forty eight and he was an office manager.
When I had met up with Billy I had noticed that he was tall and very smart looking. He had black hair and brown eyes. He and I had enjoyed having coffee together in an upmarket cafe. Afterwards he had given me a lovely cuddle and said he hoped to see me again as soon as possible.
I met up with Luke to go ice skating. He was medium sized and very sincere looking. He had blond hair and blue eyes. He was very caring and supportive towards clumsy me. Afterwards he had held my hand walking along the road.
When I had met up with Thomas he had seemed tall, dark and handsome. I had felt that he might have been the best looking guy using the dating service. We had hit it of from the word go. He and I visited an art gallery together. Afterwards he had bought me a single red rose. I had gone home that evening thinking what a lovely guy I had met. I had thought that I was having so very much fun using the dating service.
I hadn't been able to decide if I should date Billy, Luke or Thomas. Then the next day Thomas showed me that he had won a trip to Barbados and he wanted me to come with him. We had the most magical holiday there together on the palm fringed beaches. Every night we had made love together, slowly and with much love. On out last day Thomas had told me that had fallen head over heals in love with me. Amazingly he asked if I wanted him to be my husband. I knew that at fifty years old I wasn't going to find anyone to match my darling Tom. So I had said yes.
